The Greater Falls area is named
after the Great Falls of the Connecticut River. Bellows Falls is home to the Green
Mountain Flyer, a touring train ride that travels thirteen miles into the mountains during
the summer and foliage season.
This beautiful
Vermont town is located right on the Connecticut River, which is sure to have many
photo-ops for visitors.
Bellows Falls is known for its many
Victorian houses. This Romanesque clock tower is a beautiful example of fine historic
architecture. The town was once a hub for the railroad industry, which most likely
influenced the building styles.
The Rockingham
Meeting House, the oldest in Vermont, and probably the prettiest.
Just as unlikely as finding the
array of Victorian houses is the finding of a major shopping center located in Rockingham.
Grafton, Vermont
has seen more famous people than you could imagine would wander along Route 30 to this
charming area. All the buildings are early 1800's and the setting is extremely
picturesque. It captured the hearts of Presidents Wilson and Roosevelt and writers
Emerson, Thoreau and Kipling.
