The gorgeous scenery of
Eastham is reason enough for a visit.
There are many
species of beach flowers and grasses along the seashore.
Daffodils welcome Spring to the
Eastham area and there is a particularly beautiful display at the Windmill Green.
Cape Cod National
Seashore includes approximately 27,000 acres of uplands. President John F. Kennedy signed
a bill on August 7, 1961 making the Cape Cod National Seashire a reality.
The harbor shoreline is a favorite for
surf fishermen and you may find seals basking in the sun on one of your seaside walks.
Nauset Marsh
Trail is a half mile loop that skirts Salt Pond and Nauset Marsh and returns through
transitional forest and fields. There is also Buttonbush Trail for the blind with a rope
guide and interpretive text panels in Braille.
