producer of granite and textiles, shipping them by train all over the country. Founded in
the 1660's, it is on the banks of the Pawcatuck River at the Connecticut border. |

especially those seeking a little wave action, Misquamicut State Beach is
the big kahuna for you! Misquamicut has just undergone major improvements including a new
public pavilion, parking and beach restoration. |

More family fun can be found just across the
street at Water Wizz, a modern water slide park -- a good choice if
youngsters are onboard. |

The Flying
Horse Carousel, more than 100 years old and beautifully historically restored, is
a particular favorite among the youngsters. |

visitors in Westerly. After visiting the special gift shops, enjoy a delicious lunch or
dinner at many of the outdoor restaurants. |
