The Old Tavern Farm

Old Tavern Farm has greeted travelers for parts of three centuries, beginning in 1747, when Samuel Hinsdale was first licensed to run a tavern on this site in Greenfield's lush upper meadows. That crude structure has been swallowed up by two major expansions, one occurring during the final quarter of the 18th century, the other in 1827. Since then the structure has remained largely undisturbed, a relic from a bygone era of stagecoach travel, hot toddies and country balls just five minutes off Interstate 91. Come and enjoy the Sanderson family's traditional brand of New England tavern hospitality.
