The Common Rooms
include 2 parlors, the taproom to relax and listen to music, antique stoneware throughout,
a dining room, a full kitchen for use by guests and the aroma of freshly baked bread.
The bar was removed
from this room sometime during the last quarter of the 19th century, but most of the
components - including a grain-painted headboard from circa 1840 - were squirreled away on
site. For now - until the bar is reconstructed someday - this room serves as a third
parlor in the main part of the house. Here guests can relax while listening to the
excellent sound system, with more than 500 CDs to choose from.
