The Common Rooms
include 2 parlors, the taproom to relax and listen to music, antique stoneware throughout,
a dining room, a full kitchen for use by guests and the aroma of freshly baked bread.
This crock was made
around 1850 by Silas D. Kellogg, one of many 19th century Whately potters whose stoneware
is on display throughout Old Tavern Farm. It rests among 11 other examples of stoneware by
Whately potters displayed in a repainted, red 19th century cupboard salvaged from the
Sanderson's previous home in South Deerfield. The cupboard stands facing the taproom
fireplace pictured on the previous page.
